Women’s Recovery and Empowerment Worker, BAMER communities

The Recovery & Empowerment Partnership brings together 5 women’s organisations: Ashiana, Chilypep, VIDA, Haven House and YWHA and aims to address the shortage of longer term therapeutic services to enable women and girls to recover and move on with their lives after experiences of abuse.

The post holder will provide a proactive support and services to Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee (BAMER) women and children whose lives have been affected by violence and abuse to remove barriers and encourage access to therapeutic services in a variety of ways.

The post holder will provide written, telephone and face to face support to BAMER women with the aims of:

  • Reducing the risk of further violence
  • Access to safe and appropriate support
  • Remove barriers and enable access to therapeutic support

Hours: 21 hours per week

Annual Leave:  30 days (pro-rata)
