Ashiana Shefield welcomed Ajman Ali, Executive Director of Neighborhood Services and Race Relations Lead, and Meredith Dixon-Teasdale, Strategic Director of Children’s Services at Sheffield City Council, to our head office for a strategic discussion on domestic abuse support provision.
The meeting provided an opportunity to highlight the critical need for specialist BAMER, trauma-informed outreach services, and to discuss the ongoing challenges facing the sector, particularly in relation to funding pressures. Conversations also focused on the importance of sustaining accessible, high-quality support for individuals at high risk.
In addition, the discussion explored opportunities for future funding and strengthened partnership working, reinforcing a shared commitment to improving outcomes for those affected by domestic abuse across Sheffield.
